designed by Rita Bartholomew
For Christmas 2006 I decided to make some finger puppets for my 3 grand-daughters. Here is a front and back pose of some of the ones I made at that time.
Then one cold February evening in 2008 I was knitting with a group of women, including my two youngest daughters. My youngest daughter was knitting some of the finger puppets for her baby-sitting kit. When the other women saw what she was knitting, they asked about the pattern and I confessed I had designed it to help her with an English assignment in 2005.
They all wanted copies, even when I said I did not yet have a copy others could use. I must be an easy push-over, since when I went home I spent the next few days entering, updating, and revising my old notes. In the process I made one more puppet.
